Which Sony headphones actually block out plane engines because my old pair just snapped and I have a 14-hour flight to Tokyo next Tuesday?

Im honestly so anxious about this because I cant sleep without silence and my current ones are junk. My budget is $350 max... do I get the XM4 or XM5?

Unfortunately the Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Canceling Over-Ear Headphones are pretty disappointing for long hauls. I had issues with the auto-ANC shifting weirdly when I moved my head. Plus they dont even fold up. Honestly, just get the Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones. Theyre way more reliable for blocking that low-frequency plane drone and actually fit in a carry-on properly.

Coming back to this... you should check out these other gems! If the flagships are too much, the Sony WH-CH720N Noise Canceling Wireless Over-Ear Headphones are fantastic because theyre so light for those 14-hour flights. But honestly, I love the Sony WH-ULT900N ULT WEAR Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones for blocking that low engine hum.

  • ULT WEAR: Amazing bass and top-tier isolation.
  • CH720N: Super comfy and saves you cash. Definitely grab a cheap airplane adapter too!

I'm pretty satisfied with the older dual-sensor tech. Not sure but IIRC, it handles consistent engine hum better than newer adaptive software. Reliability is key for those 14-hour hauls.
