What is the best compact gimbal for a Sony a7C II that doesnt feel like a toy?

Ive used RS3 Pros forever but this new travel setup for my Tokyo trip needs to stay light. Tried a Crane M3 but the motors struggled with my 20-70mm G lens. Is the RS3 Mini actually stable enough for that front-heavy glass?

caught this thread a day late but i had a rough time with that lens zooming out. the center of gravity shifts so much it nearly fried my old rig, tbh. i would suggest checking the Zhiyun Weebill 3S 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer for better torque.

  • watch the front-heavy balance at 70mm
  • use the wrist rest to save your arm
  • motors are beefier than the crane m3

I took a similar setup to Osaka last year and you gotta be careful with that zoom. The shifting weight at 70mm is a motor killer if you arent perfect with the balance. I would suggest looking at the Feiyu SCORP Mini 2 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal.

Unfortunately I had issues with the M3 and that lens. Go with this:
