ive been using the same wired setup for my ps4 forever and never had issues, but now that im playing mostly on ps5 i need an upgrade for late night sessions where i dont wake up the whole house. my budget is around 150 bucks max. so i was thinking about getting a wireless one, but my logic was id grab something that works seamlessly across both consoles since i still jump back to my ps4 sometimes for backlog games. anyone running a wireless headset right now that actually connects easily to both without messing up dongles every time?

switching between ps4 and ps5 with wireless audio can honestly be a massive headache because of how sony changed the usb protocols. i ran into constant dropouts until i grabbed the Sony Pulse Elite Wireless Headset for around 150 bucks. just make sure you keep the usb dongle paired correctly when jumping consoles. i would suggest checking firmware updates right away since older software causes pairing bugs between generations.

Wait really?? Thats actually super helpful. I always thought it was the other way around.
