I finally pulled the trigger on a 65 inch Sony Bravia XR X90L last week and honestly the built in speakers are just okay but i really need something with more punch for movie nights. i live in a pretty small apartment in philly so i cant go too crazy with a full surround setup or my neighbors will kill me but i want that atmos feel. right now im looking at three specific ones and i cant decide which way to go.
first is the sony ht-a5000 because it supposedly works perfectly with the bravia remote and has that center sync thing where the tv becomes the center channel but some people say its overpriced for what you get. then there is the sonos beam gen 2 which everyone seems to love because the software is so good but i worry about not having a dedicated sub right away. lastly the bose smart soundbar 600 is on sale near me and it looks sleek but i dont know if it plays nice with sony tech.
my constraints:
really torn between staying in the sony ecosystem for the ease of use or going with sonos for the sound quality. is the acoustic center sync actually worth it or is it just a gimmick that makes it sound tinny? i dont want to waste money if the beam sounds better for less cash...

Finally someone says it. Ive been thinking this for a while but wasnt sure.
Ok adding this to my list of things to try. Thanks for the tip!
Yo, congrats on the X90L! That TV is absolutely amazing and the picture quality is just fantastic for gaming! I went through this exact same struggle last year when I moved into my apartment. I was so tempted to mix and match different brands because of a sale, but honestly, be super careful with that. I once tried a setup from a totally different manufacturer and the handshake issues were a total nightmare! It would drop audio right in the middle of movies, which is the last thing you want for a big watch party. Staying in the same ecosystem is way safer for your sanity. That center sync feature actually helps keep the voices clear without cranking the volume too high! Just watch out for those cheap cables though... people always skimp there and then wonder why their audio keeps cutting out.
Finally someone says it. Ive been thinking this for a while but wasnt sure.
