I just picked up a Sony Bravia with Google TV and want to try some cloud gaming through GeForce Now. I'm worried about input lag and Bluetooth compatibility issues. Does the PS5 DualSense work better than an Xbox controller for this setup, or is there a specific third-party brand you'd recommend?

Agree! 2.4GHz vs BT: 2.4GHz wins for lag. My GameSir T4 Pro Wireless Controller is cheaper than the DualSense and works well on Bravias. Best budget choice, seriously satisfied.

So, I've been messing around with cloud gaming on Sony sets since the early days of PS Now, and I've tried basically every gamepad under the sun. Honestly, the Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense Wireless Controller is ur best bet for a Bravia. Since it's all in the Sony family, I've found it pairs faster and the button mapping is usually spot on for Google TV apps. But ngl, Bluetooth on TVs can be a laggy mess sometimes... it's just the nature of the beast. Over the years, I've realized that the real secret is actually using the 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller with Charging Dock because it comes with a 2.4GHz receiver. Plugging that dongle into the TV's USB port LITERALLY cuts the input lag in half compared to standard Bluetooth. It's wayyy smoother for fast-paced stuff on GeForce Now. Stick to the DualSense for comfort, but grab the 8BitDo if you want that pro-level response time. gl!

Curious about one thing: what's ur internet setup like? I think lag is basically more about your router than the actual gamepad. I'm super satisfied with my budget setup, so: * Go with 8BitDo, you can't go wrong
* Try brands that use a 2.4GHz adapter It's way more cost-effective than the pricey Sony ones and works well for me... gl!

Jumping in here... been messing with Bravias for years and my journey has been a bit of a headache tbh. You might want to consider looking into SteelSeries+Wireless+Controllers&linkCode=osi&tag=5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">SteelSeries Wireless Controllers. I spent months trying to get the official stuff to work right, but I kept running into weird mapping issues on Google TV. Honestly, go with Logitech Gamepads, you cant go wrong for stability. I finally just switched brands and it was like night and day. Just be careful with anything too cheap though, because those generic ones tend to have horrible stick tension and lag. I would suggest staying away from the ultra-budget stuff and just getting a solid gamepad from a brand that actually supports their firmware properly. I've had way better luck with the Microsoft ecosystem on these sets than I ever did with the native Sony gear, which is kinda ironic. Just make sure to update whatever you buy on a PC first... saves a lot of trouble later.

Late to the party but seconding the recommendation above! Be really careful with cheap, generic USB adapters for that 2.4GHz link though. I've seen people mess up ur TV ports cuz the power draw was wonky... totally not worth it on ur new Bravia imo! - Stick to reputable brands
- Watch for overheating
- Avoid sketchy gear Safety first, seriously!! gl with the setup 👍
