What is the best Sony headphone model for long-haul flights?

Which Sony over-ears are actually king for 10+ hour flights right now? Ive been a loyal XM3 user for years and honestly the ANC was unbeatable back in the day but the hinge finally snapped on me last week while I was packing for a trip to Tokyo. I know the XM4 and XM5 are the current big players but I keep hearing conflicting stuff about the foldability versus the driver quality. Ive got about $400 to drop before I leave next Tuesday and I really need something that wont make my ears sweat after hour six. Is the XM5 worth the extra bulk in my carry-on or should I just hunt down a deal on the older ones?

I'm super satisfied with Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones tbh.

  • 40mm drivers
  • LDAC support They fit way better in my carry-on than the XM5 ever did.

Definitely snag the Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones!

  • Insane ANC
  • Better comfort Theyre seriously fantastic and feel like clouds, ngl. Youll love them!
