I just got off a 12 hour flight to London and I am so miserable. My ears are killing me because those cheap plastic earbuds they give you on the plane were awful. I could hear everything around me and the engine noise was so loud I now have a massive headache.
Sony is supposed to be good but I am confused by all the numbers. Is it the XM4 or XM5? I have $300 to spend before my trip in three weeks but I have no idea what I'm looking for or what noise cancelling even really does. Sorry if this is a dumb question but which one is best for a long flight?

They are amazing and usually way cheaper than the XM5. I use mine for every long flight and the noise canceling is basically magic, you wont hear a thing! You can find them under $300 easily so you save tons of money. They fold up smaller which is fantastic for packing... seriously, you're gonna love them!
