What is the best Sony headphone for intense gym sessions?

I am totally lost and honestly getting really annoyed trying to figure this out on my own. I started hitting the gym really hard lately because my cousin is getting married in October and I really need to lose some weight before then so I dont look like a total potato in the wedding photos. I live in Chicago and my gym doesn't have the best AC so it gets super hot in there and I am sweating buckets within like ten minutes of starting my workout.

The problem is my current situation is a total mess. I was using these cheap ones I got at a gas station or something and they literally slipped out of my ear while I was running on the treadmill yesterday and I accidentally stepped on one. It cracked and now it doesnt work at all. I keep hearing everyone talk about how Sony is the gold standard or whatever but when I go on their website I see all these weird codes. WH-1000XM something or WF-1000XM and I have no clue what the difference is. Like is the H for head and the F for... flowers? I dont know! I just dont understand why they cant give them normal names.

Im really worried about the sweat thing too because I read some stuff online saying that some of these expensive ones aren't actually waterproof and if I spend like $250 which is basically my whole budget for this month I dont want them to just fry because I sweat too much. I do a lot of cardio and some lifting so they need to stay put. Do the big earmuff looking ones fall off when you lean over to pick up weights? Sorry if these are really basic questions I just have no idea where to start and the more I read the more confused I get. Its honestly making me want to just give up and work out in silence but I hate the music they play over the speakers.

  • My budget is around $250 max
  • Need them to handle a lot of sweat without breaking
  • Must stay on while running fast
  • I need to buy them by next week so I can keep my routine going

Which Sony model is actually going to survive an intense workout and not fall off my head or break the first time I get sweaty?

Quickly, do you require active noise canceling?

^ This. Buds beat headphones for heat. I'm satisfied with Sony LinkBuds S Truly Wireless Noise Canceling Earbuds:

  • IPX4 rating
  • Lightweight They stay put and wont fry from your sweat.

Honestly I went through a few pairs before finding something that works well for me. My current setup handles the sweat perfectly and never budges during sprints.

  • In-ears stay put much better
  • Water resistance is key for us heavy sweaters
  • Big ones just slide off when lifting I am super satisfied now because they dont fry when things get messy. Stick with the earbud style!
