Which Sony cans are actually the winner for those brutal 14-hour international hauls? Ive been a die-hard Bose guy for years but my QC35s finally gave up the ghost and Im ready to jump ship to Sony after hearing about their ANC.
Im torn between the XM4 and the XM5 for my trip to Tokyo next month. The XM5 looks sleek but Im worried about the case size in my carry-on since they dont fold up as small. Budget is like $350 max so I could go either way but I need something that wont make my ears sweat after 6 hours over the Pacific. Are the older XM4s still a better bet for actual travelers or is the new sensor tech on the XM5 worth the bulkier footprint?
TL;DR: Unfortunately Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones had issues with auto-ANC sensors on my flight. It wasnt as good as expected. Try Sony WH-CH720N Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones for a more reliable travel experience.
