sorry if this is a dumb question but I just got a ps5 pro and have no idea where to start with audio. the tv is way too quiet and i need something wireless so i dont trip over my cat. my budget is around $150... which headsets actually work with it?

In my experience, reliability is key. I've tried many, and these are the safest picks:
- Sony Pulse 3D Wireless Headset

To add to the point above: those are solid picks but i learned the hard way that you gotta be careful with build quality. A high-end pair i had once snapped just by taking them off too fast... total nightmare. If you want to save some cash, I would suggest looking at the Razer Barracuda X 2022 Edition Wireless. It is way cheaper than your $150 limit and the 50-hour battery life is a lifesaver. Just be careful with the dongle tho, it is kinda wide and might block other ports on the front of your ps5 pro. Another one to consider is the HyperX Cloud III Wireless 120-hour Battery. It fits right at your budget but the memory foam is leagues better than the Pulse. Sony ones always give me a headache after an hour, but these stay comfy for ages. Just make sure to update the firmware right away or the mic might act wonky.
