Honestly so fed up with the internal mic on my ZV-E10 II because it sounds like im underwater when i vlog outside. I have a big street shoot in London this weekend and my budget is strictly under 150 so i really need to know which mics actually sound professional on this specific body?

Omg I totally feel your pain with that underwater sound! I had the exact same issue when I started vlogging with my Sony ZV-E10 II. Last month I was filming in a super crowded market and the internal mic was just a mess of wind and background noise. I ended up getting the Sony ECM-G1 Ultra-Compact Shotgun Microphone and it is seriously a game changer! The best part is it doesnt need cables because it uses the hot shoe for power and audio. It is so tiny and sounds amazing for voice. Another one I tried is the Rode VideoMicro II Ultra-compact On-camera Shotgun Mic. Its fantastic because it doesnt need batteries either, but you do have to mess with a cable which can get annoying. Honestly the Sony one is better for our specific camera because it keeps things clean and simple. Both are way under your budget tho and will make you sound professional instantly! Youre gonna love the difference!

To add to the point above, have you thought about a wired lav? Quick question though: are you usually pretty close to the camera while filming or moving around a lot? The Sony ECM-LV1 Stereo Lavalier Microphone is fantastic because:
- Its super cheap but sounds pro.
- No wireless interference in busy cities.
- Tiny and easy to hide on your shirt. Honestly, I love it for street interviews!

@Reply #1 - good point! Shotguns are cool but for street stuff in London, you totally gotta go wireless! Honestly, I used to struggle so much with distance and that annoying wind noise on my ZV-E10 II until I finally made the switch. I was filming near a busy tube station last month and the ambient noise was just insane... a shotgun mic still picked up way too much of the city's chaos for my taste. I ended up grabbing the Rode Wireless ME Compact Wireless Microphone System and it has been a total game changer! It's usually right around $149 so it fits your budget perfectly.
