Which battery grips are compatible with the Sony a6700?

Hey everyone! I recently picked up the Sony a6700 for a mix of wildlife photography and long-form video work. While I absolutely love the autofocus and the new sensor, the body feels a bit cramped in my hands, especially when I'm using larger lenses like the 70-350mm. I’ve been scouring the internet looking for an official Sony battery grip, but it seems like they haven’t released one for this specific model yet.

Since the a6700 uses the beefier NP-FZ100 battery, I’m getting decent run times, but I really miss having that extra vertical shutter button and the improved ergonomics for portrait orientation. I’ve seen some third-party grips for previous a6000-series cameras, but I know the body dimensions changed slightly with this generation. I'm worried about buying something that doesn't fit the new grip shape or blocks the battery door incorrectly.

Has anyone found a reliable third-party grip from brands like Meike or Neewer that is confirmed to fit the a6700 perfectly? Also, do any of these grips support a wireless or wired shutter connection since there aren't any contact points on the bottom of the camera? I'm curious if any of you have found a solution that feels solid and doesn't feel like cheap plastic.

Curious about one thing: do you NEED that extra shutter button, or is it just about the hand space? I had a really disappointing experience with a cheap plastic grip once—it felt like it was gonna snap under my 70-350mm. Total mood killer. 1. SmallRig Baseplate for Sony Alpha 6700 - Way more solid.
2. UURig Camera Base Plate for a6700 - Super budget-friendly. Basically, a metal baseplate feels much safer for big lenses than those hollow grips!

Grab the Meike MK-A6700 Pro Battery Grip for $65. It uses Bluetooth for ur shutter since there's no terminal—SO much CHEAPER than a cage and fits the body perfectly!
