So I finally picked up the ZV-E10 II to upgrade from my old ZV-1 and I am honestly a bit stumped on the glass. I usually stick to the kit 16-50mm but the active stabilization on this new body seems to crop in way more than I expected when I am doing my walking shots.

I am heading to Tokyo in three weeks for a big trip and really need something wider and faster for those night street scenes but I dont want to break the bank. Maybe something around 500 dollars? I was looking at the Sony 11mm f1.8 but worried it might be too wide for talking head stuff or look weird. What is the best vlogging lens for Sony ZV-E10 II if I need to balance that heavy crop with decent low light performance...

Grab the Sony E 11mm F1.8! It is honestly amazing for handling that active crop and low light is fantastic.

  • super wide
  • very light Youll love it in Tokyo!

  • Agree that wide is essential for that active crop, but be careful since 11mm can sometimes distort your face. I would suggest looking at:
  • Viltrox AF 13mm f1.4 E - excellent for night street scenes and feels more natural.
  • Samyang AF 12mm f2.0 E - a lighter option if youre worried about wrist fatigue. Make sure to check your gimbal limits before Tokyo!
