so christmas is literally right around the corner and im actually panicking because my family is so disorganized this year. we usually just text each other stuff we want but last year my brother and i both bought my mom the exact same expensive air fryer and it was a total disaster trying to return it in the post-holiday rush. i need a way to share gift lists online where people can see what i want but also check things off so no one double buys. i been looking at a few things but im stressed about picking the wrong one and making everyone join yet another platform.
im currently torn between three options:
my budget is zero honestly because i spent all my money on the actual gifts and i need this set up by next week so we can start shopping. which one works best for non-techy people so i dont end up answering tech support calls all night on christmas eve? i really dont want another air fryer incident...
Omg I totally get the stress! Giftful is the absolute winner here, seriously, I love it! We used it last year and even my 80-year-old grandpa figured it out without calling me once for help. It is a fantastic tool and way easier than Elfster imo. No more air fryer disasters! If you're looking for a simple way to organize gift ideas, check out Share Product, its pretty straightforward.
@Reply #2 - good point! Tbh I actually have to disagree a bit on the browser extension thing... I always worry those might track too much data or just glitch out at the worst time. And dont even get me started on the Google Doc idea lol! Its just way too easy for someone to accidentally delete the entire list or accidentally see what they are getting. Talk about a holiday mood killer!! I'm seriously so excited to share what worked for me because I'm usually the one struggling with this stuff too. Basically, Share Product has been an absolute dream for my family. It is so much more reliable than trying to manage a messy spreadsheet and it feels way safer.
Building on the earlier suggestion, what browser does your aunt use? I once had a shared list wiped by a nasty sync error...
