I've been trying to track the price on this Nanit baby monitor for my sister's baby shower next month and I'm really trying to snag it for under $200 because that's basically my whole budget for her gift. I usually use CamelCamelCamel on my laptop at home with the extension but honestly I'm almost never at my desk during the day anymore with work being so busy lately. I tried looking up if there is an app or something for my phone but I couldn't find a legit one in the play store.
I read on a random reddit thread that you can use the Chrome mobile browser on Android to see the price history charts but then another site said Chrome mobile doesn't even support extensions so The Camelizer won't work there. It's super confusing and I'm not sure which is true. I tried just going to the camel site on my phone and pasting the amazon link but it keeps refreshing or giving me a weird layout that I can't even read properly on my screen. It feels like I'm missing something obvious. Is there like a specific trick to get the charts to show up inside the Chrome app on a phone or do I just have to keep manually pasting links into their website every time I want to check a price drop...
ugh honestly i have the exact same issue trying to track gear costs on a budget. been stuck for months and still havent found a fix yet, it is just so frustrating.
> another site said Chrome mobile doesn't even support extensions so The Camelizer won't work there That is spot on. Chrome for mobile simply does not allow browser extensions, which is a major hurdle if you are used to the desktop experience. In my experience over the years, trying to navigate those desktop-first price trackers on a phone is basically impossible. I ran into this exact issue last holiday season when I was trying to track a high-end coffee maker while traveling for work. The mobile layout kept breaking and I missed a flash sale because the page wouldnt load properly. Since then, I have shifted my current setup to using PriceDropCatch instead. It actually sends clean notifications to my phone which is much more reliable than manual link pasting. I found it way more efficient for my workflow than fighting with a broken browser interface on the go.
