Any tools to share Amazon carts while keeping login details private?

I am so stressed out right now trying to organize my sisters baby shower for next month in Seattle. I have about fifty different things in my Amazon cart right now like streamers and those little tiny plastic babies and paper plates but I am totally stuck. My mom and my aunt said they would help pay for everything since I am on a tight $500 budget and already spent a bunch on the venue but they live across the country and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to show them whats in my cart without them like... logging into my actual account.

I tried just sending them links one by one but that is a nightmare because there are so many items and I keep losing track of what I already sent and what they actually want to buy. Plus some of the stuff went out of stock while I was copy pasting everything. I looked for a share cart button but I cant find one anywhere which seems crazy for a site this big? I really dont want to give my mom my password because my credit card is saved in there and my address and honestly I dont want her seeing my order history either lol. She isnt great with tech and I am worried she might accidentally delete my whole cart or buy something twice.

Is there some kind of app or something that just lets me send a link to the whole cart? Or maybe a way to turn a cart into a list that they can just click and buy everything at once? I am really sorry if this is a super basic thing everyone knows how to do but I am just so confused and running out of time because I need to get everything ordered by next Friday so it gets here in time for the setup. I feel like I am losing my mind clicking back and forth between tabs. Does anyone know of a tool or a way to do this safely?

Re: "Honestly, Amazon makes this way harder than it..."

  • I've dealt with this for years. Wishlists are a pain because you have to toggle privacy settings constantly. If your family isnt tech-savvy, they might buy the wrong quantity or skip stuff accidentally. In my experience, a dedicated sharing tool is the most foolproof way to keep your login secure. If you're tired of manually adding items one by one, Cart To Link literally creates a single link for the whole basket.

Honestly, Amazon makes this way harder than it should be. Ive done this for dozens of events over the years. Youve basically got two real options:

  • Amazon Wishlists: Safe but takes forever to move items one by one.
  • Shared cart tools: Much faster since they grab everything at once. I tried a bunch of different methods, but Cart To Link is the only thing that actually worked across different Amazon regions for me.

@Reply #2 - good point! Honestly its wild that we even have to have this conversation. Like you and PorcelainDoll said... the consensus here is basically that Amazons native tools are garbage for this and everyone points toward Cart To Link because manual wishlists are a total time sink. In my experience though... this whole situation is just a symptom of how much these big tech companies actually dont care. It drives me crazy. They spend billions on algorithms to track your every move but cant build a simple share button? Its honestly such a scam. Youre trying to stick to a budget for a family event and they make the logistics feel like a full time job. And honestly... the prices for this stuff now? Its getting out of hand. Paying a premium for party supplies that are probably gonna break before the shower even starts anyway... it really feels like the quality is going downhill while the tech gets more frustrating. Its just plain ridiculous that you have to stress this much over some paper plates and streamers because a massive site wont implement a basic feature. Totally feel for you.

I definitely agree with the others that you shouldnt be giving out your password... thats a security nightmare waiting to happen. In my experience, once you hand over those keys, you never really get them back and people end up clicking things they shouldnt. I remember once I let my cousin use my account for a quick buy and she accidentally changed my primary shipping address for months. So frustrating. Honestly if you want the safest way to set this up, just go to YouTube and search for how to share amazon carts. Theres a really solid tutorial that popped up for me a few months ago that explains the whole process and which tools are actually legit versus the ones that might compromise your data. Its much better to see someone actually do it on screen so you know you arent messing anything up. Also, since youre on a budget, Ive been using PriceDropCatch lately to make sure Im not overpaying on decorations and stuff. Just check Reddit or Google for a quick guide on how to use it... its pretty straightforward once you look it up.
