just saw this thread and wanted to chime in because i have been a sony guy for over a decade now. the main thing people miss with sonys is the vertical offset... since the holes are usually near the bottom, you end up with a tv thats way too high if you dont use a mount with a lot of flexibility. i moved from an old 65 inch led to a 75 inch oled last year and went with the ECHOGEAR Full Motion TV Wall Mount EGLF2. honestly its built like a tank which is what you want for those heavy 75 inchers. what i love about it is the lateral shift... basically you can slide the tv left or right on the wall plate even after its mounted. its a lifesaver for centering it when your studs arent perfectly placed. also it pulls out like 22 inches so cable management is actually doable without scraping your knuckles. a few tips from my experience:

definitely keep those sony specific spacer screws that come in the tv box because standard mount bolts can sometimes be too long and damage the panel.

measure twice for the height since sony puts the holes lower than brands like samsung.

get a mount that lets you level the tv after its on the wall. its been a solid investment for me and i havent had to drill new holes since the wall plate is so wide and accommodating for different VESA sizes like 300x300.

Had a moment to think about this more and I went through this last year too. Honestly, it was a huge disappointment because I thought any mount would fit, but unfortunately I had issues with the weight distribution on my 75 inch. It felt super sketchy and just not as good as expected... I highkey panicked thinking the whole thing would rip out. I'm still a beginner at this, but safety is literally the most important thing when you're hanging a massive screen, you know?? Before you buy, I gotta ask... is your wall standard drywall with wood studs or something like brick? Also, what's your budget range for this?? Quick tip: Look for a mount with an extra-wide, heavy-duty steel wall plate. Basically, the wider it is, the more studs you can hit, which makes the whole setup way more reliable for heavy Sony TVs in the long run... good luck!!

Since I usually stick with the brand, I’m looking for a wall mount that is truly compatible across their whole range, from the older Bravia LEDs to the latest OLEDs.

I’ve noticed some Sony models have unique VESA patterns or need specific spacers, which makes choosing a universal mount a bit confusing. I need something that handles:

Weight for 75-inch screens

VESA patterns like 300x300 or 400x400

Easy cable access
