Like someone mentioned, sticking to the big brands is the common advice, but I would suggest being careful with the built-in Bluetooth on your Sony set. It often suffers from interference that causes the exact input lag you are worried about. To save some money while getting better performance, I recommend looking at controllers that use a dedicated 2.4GHz receiver instead of standard Bluetooth.

8BitDo Ultimate Wireless 2.4g Controller with Charging Dock

<a href="https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=SteelSeries+Stratus%2B+Wireless+Gaming+Controller+for+Android+and+Chromebook&BI=8941&KBID=10361&SID=12345&DFF=d50" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">SteelSeries Stratus+ Wireless Gaming Controller for Android and Chromebook Make sure to plug any USB dongle into the side port rather than the back to keep the line of sight clear. It is a small detail but it helps keep things snappy and avoids those connection drops during a marathon session. This should keep your setup within budget and ready for Friday night.

So I finally treated myself to that 65 inch Sony Bravia I've been eyeing for months since it was on sale but now I'm freaking out a bit because I want to actually use the cloud gaming features and I dont want to waste money on a controller that wont even sync right. I've read some horror stories about input lag on Android TV and it's making me super nervous honestly.

I'm trying to decide between the standard PS5 DualSense since its a Sony TV you'd think it would be perfect right? But then everyone says the Xbox Wireless Controller has better native support for some of the apps I'm looking at like GeForce Now or even just navigating the menus. I also saw the 8BitDo Ultimate bluetooth one which looks cool and is a bit cheaper at like $60 but idk if the dongle or bluetooth will be a nightmare with the Sony OS.

I've only got about 75 bucks max to spend and I really need to get this sorted by Friday because my cousins are coming over for a mini gaming marathon. Is the DualSense actually better for a Sony TV or should I just play it safe with the Xbox one even though I prefer the Sony stick layout? Im just so worried the 8BitDo or even the others might be too laggy and ruin the whole night...
