So what is the best soundbar I should actually buy for my Sony Bravia X90K? I finally pulled the trigger on the TV and Im so hyped to get the audio side of things finished but Im stuck between a few choices.

I did some digging online and everyone keeps pointing towards the Sony HT-A7000 because of the whole ecosystem thing where the TV acts as the center channel but man that thing is expensive and some reviews say the bass is weak without the separate sub. I also looked at the HT-A5000 which fits my $1,200 budget way better since I could maybe afford the SW3 subwoofer too. But then I see people swearing by the Sonos Arc and saying it sounds way more natural even if it isnt a Sony product.

Im buying this on Friday so Im in a bit of a rush to decide. My apartment living room is kinda small and has these weird low ceilings so Im worried if those upfiring Atmos speakers on the Sony bars will even work right or if Im just throwing money away.

HT-A7000 (huge price tag)

HT-A5000 (seems more reasonable)

Sonos Arc (the wild card)

Does the Acoustic Center Sync actually make a huge difference or is it just a gimmick they use to keep you buying Sony stuff? I really want that immersive feel for movie nights but I dont want to regret spending my whole savings on something that doesnt even sound that much better than the TV speakers...

I just dropped way too much money on a 65 inch Sony Bravia A80K last week and while the picture is like, mind blowing, the built in speakers are just okay for everyday TV but totally suck for movies. I'm honestly super stressed because I have a big movie night planned for next Friday and I still havent picked a soundbar. Im looking at the Sony HT-A7000 because of that S-Center sync thing where it uses the TV speakers too but then I see everyone raving about the Sonos Arc and how easy it is to set up. Then there is the Samsung Q990C which apparently has the best sub but I dont know if it plays nice with a Sony TV? Im in a small apartment in Seattle so I cant have wires running all over the floor or my wife will kill me but I want that Atmos feel. My budget is capped at like $1200 maybe $1300 if I push it. Im leaning toward the A7000 just to keep it in the family but is the Sonos actually better for the money? Or should I just risk the compatibility stuff with the Samsung? I just want it to work perfectly the first time without a headache...

Which soundbar setup actually sounds better with a new Sony Bravia TV—the Sony HT-A7000 system or the Sonos Arc with the Era 300 rears? I finally pulled the trigger on a 65 inch Sony A80L OLED after staring at it in Best Buy for like three months lol and now I am stuck in this rabbit hole of audio options and its honestly stressing me out a bit because I want to get it right before my housewarming party next Saturday. I am in a new apartment in Austin and the living room is super open on one side which I know is gonna mess with the acoustics since there isnt a wall for the sound to bounce off of.

I am mostly torn between these specific setups:

Sony HT-A7000 bar with the SA-RS5 wireless rear speakers and the big SW5 subwoofer

Full Sonos Arc set with the Sub Gen 3 and the new Era 300 speakers for the back

Samsung Q990C because the reviews are insane even though it feels wrong to mix brands

The main reason I am leaning toward the Sony is because of that Acoustic Center Sync thing where it uses the actual TV speakers as the center channel for dialogue. Does that actually work or is it just a marketing gimmick? I feel like it would make voices clearer but I have heard mixed things online. On the other hand everyone says Sonos is the gold standard for ease of use and I already have a couple of One SLs in my bedroom so it would be nice to have it all on one app. But then I lose that Sony-to-Sony integration and I am worried about the Atmos height effects in my weird room layout.

My budget is firm at $2,000 including taxes and I need to buy it like yesterday so it arrives in time for the party. I mainly watch 4K blu-rays and play a lot of PS5 so lag is a big concern for me. Which one of these is going to give me that actual theater feeling without being a nightmare to set up in a room with only three walls? I am really stuck on whether the Sony integration is worth the extra cash over the Sonos...

So I finally bit the bullet and grabbed a 65 inch Sony A80L and the picture is amazing but now I'm stuck on the mounting part. I live in a condo in Chicago and my living room is kind of narrow so I really need something that can swivel so people on the side couch can actually see the screen. I've been looking at a few different mounts and I'm honestly torn. The official Sony SU-WL850 seems like the safe bet but it's like $250 which feels insane for some metal brackets and I've heard it doesnt even pull out that far. Then there is the Sanus Elite full motion mount at Best Buy which is like $180 and looks super sturdy but I'm worried about the VESA holes on the back of the Sony being weirdly low down like they usually are. I also saw this EchoGear one on Amazon for like 80 bucks that has great reviews but I dont want my new expensive TV falling off the wall lol. My budget is probably around $200 max and I really need to get this ordered like tonight so I can have it up by Friday for a watch party. Between the official Sony slim mount and something more universal like the Sanus which one is actually going to be easier to install and hold up better for these specific OLED models?

Does anyone know a specific wall mount that is basically guaranteed to work across different Sony TV generations? Im moving into my new place in Austin next Tuesday and I am honestly freaking out a bit about the living room setup. I currently have a 65 inch Bravia from like 2019 but I am saving up to buy a new A80L or maybe even an A95L later this year if I can find a deal. I really dont want to have to buy a new mount and re-drill my drywall when I finally upgrade. I spent all last night looking at the Sanus VLL5-B1 because people say it is super sturdy but then I read a couple reviews saying that Sony TVs have really weird VESA patterns where the holes are at the very bottom of the set instead of the middle? That makes me super nervous that the TV will end up sitting way too high or low on the wall and I wont be able to adjust it. Then I saw the Echogear ones too but some people said the bolts they include dont even fit the recessed holes on the Sony backs... it is all so confusing. My budget is like 150 max and I just need something reliable that wont cause a headache during the swap later this year. Is there a specific universal one you guys use that handles that weird Sony spacing okay?

So I finally did it and bought that 65 inch Sony OLED everyone talks about but now I am literally staring at the box and I am terrified to move it. It was so expensive and I have never actually mounted anything on a wall before like ever besides maybe a small picture frame once. My biggest fear is that I am gonna wake up and find it shattered on the floor because I chose the wrong bracket or something. I live in this older apartment building in Denver and the walls feel kinda thin so I dont even know if it can hold something that heavy and expensive without ripping the drywall out.

I have about 100 dollars left to spend on a mount and I really need to get this set up by Friday because I have friends coming over for a watch party. I keep seeing all these terms like VESA and full motion and tilting and I have no idea what any of it means or if one is safer than the other for a thin screen like the Sony. Is there a specific brand that is like the gold standard for not dropping your TV? I really dont want to mess this up and ruin the screen on day one. Does anyone have a specific mount they use for their 65 inch Sony that is easy for a total beginner to install without breaking the wall? I'm sorry if this is a really basic thing to ask I just really dont want to break my new TV...

Ive been setting up home theaters for years and usually I go for a full receiver and wired speakers but my new place in Seattle is way too small for all that cable clutter. My logic was to just grab a Sony soundbar to keep it all in the family and avoid those annoying HDMI handshake issues I used to get with mixed brands but now Im overthinking it.

I was looking at the Sony HT-A5000 because of the Acoustic Center Sync thing where it uses the TV as a center channel but then I read some reviews saying the Atmos height channels are kinda weak on that model. So then I thought maybe the Sonos Arc? But then I lose the Sony ecosystem benefits right? Budget is about $900 and I need to buy it before my super bowl party next weekend so Im on a tight timeline here. Im honestly stressing that if I dont get a Sony bar the eARC is gonna be glitchy or the audio lag will be noticeable because that drives me absolutely insane. Does anyone actually use a non-Sony bar with a Bravia and have it work perfectly every time or should I just stick to the HT series and stop worrying...

I need to figure out which wall mount is actually the best for a 75-inch Sony X90L because I am seriously paranoid about this thing falling. I finally upgraded my old 55-inch and this new Sony is a beast, I think it weighs like 80 pounds without the stand and I'm staring at my drywall in my Denver apartment wondering if it can even handle it. I spent way too much on this TV to have it end up in pieces on the floor.

I did some digging online and everyone keeps pointing towards the Sanus Elite Advanced Tilt which looks solid and I like that you can slide it side to side if you dont hit the studs perfectly centered. But then I started reading some forum threads where people were complaining that Sony puts their VESA mounting holes really low on the back of the panel compared to Samsung or LG. If that is true, wouldnt a standard mount make the TV sit way higher than I planned? I already measured out exactly where I want it to be so I dont want to be surprised by it sitting six inches too high or having the brackets peek out from the bottom.

Then there is that official Sony SU-WL855 mount which is super expensive, like over 200 bucks. I read that it lets the TV sit really flush to the wall and even swivels, but is that really necessary for an LED? Some people say it only works well with the OLED models and I dont want to spend double the money just for a logo if a $100 Sanus or even a Monoprice mount would do the same thing. My living room gets a lot of glare from the side window in the afternoon so I definitely need some tilt or swivel functionality to deal with that.

My budget is ideally under $150 but honestly I'll pay more if it means I dont have to worry about the TV sagging over time. I need to get this done by next Sunday because I am hosting a watch party and I really dont want the TV just sitting on its legs on a tiny coffee table. Has anyone here mounted one of these bigger Sony LEDs recently? I am just looking for something that wont give me a headache during the install process...
