My Pulse 3D set is falling apart and with the Pro arriving Friday I need an upgrade. I know the Tempest engine stuff but I'm worried about weird latency on the newer hardware.

  • budget is 300 bucks
  • must have dual-simultaneous bluetooth
  • needs to be comfy for big heads

What actually works best for the Pro?

> must have dual-simultaneous bluetooth I've tested many, and <a href=" https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt= SteelSeries+Arctis+Nova+Pro+Wireless+PlayStation&BI=8941&KBID=10361&SID=12345&DFF=d50" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless PlayStation beats Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3 Wireless for comfort. Both handle dual-audio flawlessly on the Pro.

Honestly, after blowing way too much cash on gear over the years, I've become super cautious about these premium price tags. I used to think spending more meant fewer issues, but I've had high-end sets brick after a simple firmware update... it's a nightmare. Since you're dropping a lot on the Pro, you might want to save some bucks and look at something that just works without the gamer tax. I’ve tried a bunch of setups, and in my experience, comfort is where people usually get burned. If you have a larger head like me, you really gotta watch out for that clamping feeling. I've found that these two actually handle the dual-audio thing well without being overly complicated:

  • <a href=" https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt= SteelSeries+Arctis+Nova+7P+Wireless+Gaming+Headset&BI=8941&KBID=10361&SID=12345&DFF=d50" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7P Wireless Gaming Headset
  • This is honestly the sweet spot. It has the same simultaneous Bluetooth features as the more expensive models but costs way less. The headband is super stretchy so it doesnt squeeze your skull.
  • Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 3 Wireless Gaming Headset
  • This is the best bang-for-your-buck right now. It does the simultaneous Bluetooth perfectly, so you can listen to music or take a call while playing without missing a beat. I usually suggest sticking to the 2.4GHz dongle for the actual game audio to keep that Tempest stuff crisp, and just use the Bluetooth for your phone. Getting a reliable mid-range set feels way safer than gambling 300 bucks on something that might have software bugs on a brand new console... just my two cents tho. Usually, the mid-range stuff is built a bit tougher for daily abuse anyway.

To add to the point above: you gotta look at the Sony INZONE H9 Wireless Gaming Headset! Its seriously amazing for big heads cuz it doesnt squeeze your skull. I love how it handles simultaneous bluetooth... never miss a call while gaming!

  • Zero lag on the Pro
  • Super comfy plush pads
  • Great noise canceling Also check the Audeze Maxwell for PlayStation if you want insane audio quality tho its heavier!
