Hey everyone! I just finally locked in my PS5 Pro order and I’m currently in the process of getting my gaming setup ready for the upgrade. One thing I’m really focused on this time around is cable management—I’m tired of having USB-C cords dangling all over my desk. I really want a dedicated charging station that looks sleek next to the new console.

I’m currently juggling two standard DualSense controllers and one DualSense Edge that I use for more competitive games. I’ve noticed that some third-party docks can be a bit finicky with the Edge because of the back paddles, so finding something with a perfect fit is a big priority for me. I’m also curious if there are any docks that match the PS5 Pro’s specific aesthetic better than the original white ones, or if I should just stick with the official Sony version for reliability.

I’ve been looking at options from brands like Razer and PowerA, but I’m worried about charging speeds and whether they have overcharge protection to keep the batteries healthy long-term. Does anyone have a specific recommendation for a station that handles multiple controllers and fits the Pro's vibe? What are the best controller charging stations you’d recommend for a PS5 Pro setup right now?

I went through this last year! I struggled with the back paddles on my Edge too, its so annoying. I basically found that single-seat docks work way better for clearance, you know? * Razer Quick Charging Stand for PS5 - It fits the Edge perfectly; no paddle interference from what I've seen.
* NexiGo D3 PS5 Controller Charging Dock - This click-in style seems to handle the weight well. Honestly, the Razer has decent overcharge protection, I think. gl!

> I’m also curious if there are any docks that match the PS5 Pro’s specific aesthetic better than the original white ones... yo, I actually spent way too much time looking at the technical specs of these docks because I’m highkey obsessed with battery health lol. For your situation, I’d suggest checking out some alternatives that offer better value than the official one while keeping those controllers safe. Option A: OIVO PS5 Controller Charging Station Dock. This is basically the best budget pick. It’s got a built-in intelligent chip for overvoltage and short-circuit protection—I’ve tested it and it definitely stops drawing power at 100%. The LED indicators look sick next to the Pro too. Option B: NexiGo D3 PS5 Controller Charging Station. This matches the Pro’s "layered" aesthetic better imo. It’s super stable and the clearance for the Edge paddles is actually better than the official dock iirc. Option C: HyperX ChargePlay Duo for PS5. It’s got a weighted base so it won't slide around ur desk when you’re swapping controllers mid-game. Honestly, I'm really satisfied with the OIVO. It works well, it’s half the price of the Sony one, and the 2-hour fast charge is legit. No complaints here! gl with the new setup!

Here's what I recommend:
- Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense Charging Station: BEST fit for Edge paddles + safe charging.
- PowerA Twin Charging Station for DualSense: Kinda finicky tbh.
Sony wins.

That Pro upgrade is gonna be amazing! I'm totally hyped for you. Quick question though—are you planning to mount the console or keep it on a shelf? I feel like the layout really matters for where the dock actually sits. Speaking of brands and layouts, I actually got way too distracted today doing a deep dive into furniture of all things:

  • Comparing those expensive gaming desks vs just getting a sturdy Ikea setup
  • Trying to find a cable management box that doesnt look like a plastic tub
  • Accidentally spent three hours looking at vintage Sony Trinitron TVs on marketplace I honestly think some of the non-gaming brands actually look sleeker than the flashy stuff sometimes. I ended up cleaning out my entire storage closet instead of actually buying my dock yet. My house is a mess now because of one console purchase. Anyway lol, sorry kinda went off topic there!
