so im honestly at my wits end with this official Sony GP-VPT2BT grip right now. i bought it because every single reviewer on youtube said it was the gold standard for the ZV-1 but it has been nothing but a massive headache since day one. every single time i turn the camera on it feels like a total coin toss whether the bluetooth is actually gonna connect or if im gonna be standing there like a total idiot staring at a pairing screen while the moment i wanted to film just passes me by. it is so incredibly frustrating and i feel like i wasted my money.

i am leaving for this huge two-week trip to japan in literally 12 days—mostly tokyo and kyoto—and i absolutely cannot deal with this thing failing on me while i am trying to vlog. the build quality feels like cheap hollow plastic and the shutter button has this weird lag that drives me crazy. i just want something that works every time without me having to menu dive or reset the connection. i dont even care if its wired at this point honestly... maybe wired is actually better so i dont have to worry about another thing needing a battery or a bluetooth signal? or maybe there is a third party one that doesnt suck and actually feels like it belongs on a nice camera?

i looked at some stuff from SmallRig and Ulanzi but there are way too many options and i dont want to waste more money on junk that breaks after a week. my budget is around $150 tops because i already spent way too much on extra batteries and sd cards for the trip. i need something that feels sturdy and stable because i tend to be a bit rough with my gear when im moving fast through crowds. is anyone else using something better than the standard sony branded one? which vlogging grip actually works best for the sony zv-1 if you want reliability over everything else?

I am trying to buy a high-end air fryer on a budget of like 150 euros and I missed a lightning deal yesterday which made me so sad.

Sorry if this is a total noob question but I have no idea how to read these charts they look so complicated with all the lines and colors. Does Keepa actually show those super short lightning deals on Amazon.de accurately or does it skip over them since they end so fast? I really dont want to miss the next one...

So we are finally getting the nursery ready for the baby due in October and I am currently stuck in this weird loop with Amazon. I spend hours looking at crib sheets, diaper pails, and blackout curtains and I add them to my cart because thats just how I organize my thoughts before a big purchase but then my husband cant see any of it. Hes the one with the Prime membership on his work email and we have the Household thing set up where our accounts are linked for the shipping benefits and Prime Video and stuff but for some reason it doesnt actually share the shopping cart contents.

I did some digging online and saw people suggesting Wish Lists or Registries but honestly that feels like such a chore for just everyday stuff. I read that you can share a list but then you have to move every single item from the cart to the list and then he has to move them from the list back to his cart to actually buy them and it just seems like such a mess? Like I read on one forum that theres a Share your cart button in some regions but I definitely dont see that on my app here in Chicago. Maybe Im just blind but Ive looked everywhere in the settings and it just isnt there for me.

What I am really looking for is:

Something real-time so if I swap out a brand of wipes he sees it instantly

Must work on the iPhone app because he basically never touches a laptop anymore

Ideally doesnt involve me giving him my password or vice versa because we keep our logins separate for security reasons

Is there like a browser extension or some hidden setting I am missing? I just want him to be able to open his app, see what Ive picked out, and hit buy without me having to screenshot 20 different items and text them to him one by one. It feels like such a basic thing for a Household account to have but here we are. How do other couples handle this without losing their minds or buying duplicates...

i am torn between the sony xm5 and the xm4. the xm5 looks cool but i heard they dont fold? that seems like a total dealbreaker for my tiny carry-on bag but everyone says the noise cancelling is better. the xm4 is cheaper ($280) but is it outdated for 2024? i have a $350 budget and need to decide by monday. which one is actually better for being stuck on a plane for half a day...

so i have been trying to get these bridesmaid kits together for my wedding next month and honestly the price swings on sephora are driving me absolutely insane. i have 6 girls to buy for and my budget is strictly $500 which is getting really tight with these $30 lip masks and luxury hair oils. i was looking at honey because everyone uses it but it feels like it mostly just hunts for coupons that dont even work half the time? it doesnt really seem to alert me the second a price hits my target. then i was thinking about karma-i think it used to be shoptagr-and it looks better for specific item tracking but i read some reviews saying it can be super buggy on ultas site and doesnt always refresh the price correctly. my logic was that honey is probably more stable but karma is more targeted for what i actually need right now. i just dont have time to keep twenty tabs open and refresh them every morning while im at work. is there something better im missing or which of these two is gonna actually save me money before october rolls around? i feel like im losing my mind over a mascara price drop...

Ive been trying to hunt down a decent Canon AE-1 Program for my brothers birthday next month and man the prices on eBay are all over the place lately. One day you see a mint condition one for like 120 quid and then the next day some guy is trying to sell a broken one for 200... it makes no sense at all. I really need to track these prices over time so I dont overpay but I cant find a solid extension that actually works for eBay specifically.

I did a bit of googling and saw people mentioning Terapeak but that looks like it's buried inside the seller tools? Im not trying to sell anything I just want to buy one thing without getting ripped off lol. Then I saw some old Reddit threads from like 2019 recommending something called BayGraph but the website looks kind of sketchy now and I dont even think the extension is in the chrome store anymore. I use CamelCamelCamel for all my Amazon stuff and it's basically perfect but why is there nothing that easy for eBay??

Ive got a budget of about £150-£170 for the whole setup including a lens so every penny counts right now. I also tried Honey because I thought maybe it tracked price history on there but it just keeps trying to find coupons that never work for vintage gear. Its honestly super frustrating because eBay is so chaotic compared to regular retail sites. I just want a little graph on the page that shows me if the Buy It Now price is actually a good deal or if the seller just hiked it up yesterday.

Are there any actual reliable browser extensions left for this or do I just have to manually check the sold listings every single morning and keep a spreadsheet like a crazy person? I'm using Chrome on Mac if that matters...

Ive been doing sound design and mixing for about eight years now and I've always sworn by my old MDR-7506s but the left driver just started rattling during low-frequency sweeps and I'm honestly just done with them. They're great for tracking but I'm getting so much ear fatigue during 6-hour sessions lately. I need something from Sony that actually has a flat response and doesnt just hype the high-mids to death. So I was thinking about the MDR-MV1 because everyone is talking about the open-back spatial thing but then I started looking at the MDR-M1 and I'm just confused. Is the M1 actually an upgrade or just a replacement for the 7506?

My logic was that for mixing I need that honest soundstage but most of the Sony stuff I see on Amazon now is just the XM5 noise canceling consumer junk which is useless for my DAW work. I have about $450 to drop on this and I need them before I start the final mastering on this new narrative podcast series next Friday. I looked at the MDR-Z7M2 but the impedance is weird and I dont really want to have to lug a massive amp around if I'm working from a cafe or something.

It's just frustrating because Sonys naming conventions are a total nightmare. Like, do I go with the -standard- that everyone uses even though I hate how they feel after an hour, or is there a high-end model that actually competes with something like the Sennheiser HD600s but with that Sony clarity? I need something that wont lie to me about the low end because I'm tired of my mixes sounding muddy once they hit a car stereo. Is the MV1 really the end game for editing or am I just falling for the marketing hype around 360 Reality Audio? Most of my work is stereo anyway so I dont know if I'm paying for features I wont even touch...

I am honestly so over Sephora right now like seriously every time i go in there the prices have jumped another five dollars and i just cant do it anymore. I have my cousins wedding coming up in Austin in like exactly two weeks and it is gonna be a total heatwave so i really need some heavy duty high-end stuff that wont melt off my face the second i step outside. I usually wear the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation because its the only thing that stays put but i went to restock and it's like fifty bucks now?? since when??

I've been scouring the internet for like three hours and everything looks either super sketchy or its the exact same price as the retail stores. I found this one site called something like makeup-discounts-direct but then i read a thread saying they sell expired stuff or fakes that smell like straight up chemicals and now im just spiraling because i dont want to ruin my skin right before a huge family event but i also really dont have the money to drop $200 on a new routine. My total budget for a foundation, a decent eyeshadow palette and maybe a setting spray is like $100-120 max and i feel like thats impossible these days which is just so frustrating. I used to be able to find deals everywhere but now it feels like every site is just a carbon copy of the other.

Im really anxious about the shipping times too because if i order from some weird warehouse in europe it wont get here to Texas in time for the rehearsal dinner. Does anyone actually know a legit place that sells brands like NARS or Tarte or even Charlotte Tilbury for less than the usual retail price? Like is there some secret outlet site that isnt full of knockoffs because im genuinely about to just give up and wear drugstore stuff and hope the humidity doesnt turn me into a swamp monster. Where are you guys actually buying your high-end stuff where you dont feel like youre getting robbed?
