What is the best external microphone for Sony ZV-1?

I really need to know what the absolute best external mic for the Sony ZV-1 is before I head out on Tuesday. I'm filming a travel series in Kyoto and I'm freaking out because I still havent picked one. I saw the Rode VideoMic GO II recommended everywhere but I'm worried about it blocking the flip out screen since the ZV-1 is so tiny. Then I found the Sony ECM-G1 which looks perfect because no cables but some people online say the audio quality is kind of mid for the price. I have about $200 to spend and I need to order this tonight so it gets here in time. Is the Sony digital shoe thing actually worth it or should I just stick with a traditional shotgun mic?

Which hand grip is actually the most comfortable for long days of shooting with the RX100? I just picked up a mark VII for a trip to London next week and man this thing is slippery. My hand literally started cramping after like twenty minutes of testing it out in the backyard today. I am torn between the official Sony AG-R2 stick-on one which is cheap and small, or the SmallRig L-bracket because it looks like it adds more meat to the handle. The SmallRig is like 30 bucks so its in my budget but I dont want it to make the camera too bulky for my jacket pocket. Has anyone tried both? Or maybe that wooden one from SmallRig? I need to order something by Tuesday so it gets here in time.

honestly im so fed up with my current gorilla pod thing it literally just flops over every time I try to do a long exposure on my rx100 vii and it’s driving me insane. like why is it so hard to find something that actually stays still but doesnt weigh a ton??

im leaving for iceland in like five days and i need something rock solid for the northern lights but i dont want to carry a massive rig for such a tiny camera. i have about 100 bucks to spend and i just need something that wont break the first time i use it in the wind.

Ive been shooting on my Sony ZV-1 for over a year now mostly for indoor studio stuff but I just moved to NYC and trying to vlog outdoors is a total nightmare. The built in mic with that little deadcat thing just isnt cutting it with the wind tunnels between buildings and all the traffic noise. I tried a cheap knockoff shotgun mic but the preamps on this camera seem really sensitive and I am getting this weird hiss in the background that I just cant edit out in post. I really need a solid setup before my trip next week.

Budget is $200 max

Needs to be light enough for a small gimbal

Cant block the flip out screen

Good wind rejection is a must

Should I go with a Rode VideoMic or maybe one of those Sony ones that uses the hot shoe pins so I dont have to deal with cables? Im worried about the weight messing with the balance...

So I just got this new camera the Sony ZV-1 II because I wanted something better than my phone for my trip to Tokyo next month. Im super excited but honestly im kind of struggling already. The camera is way smaller than I thought it would be and my hands feel huge when I try to hold it. I keep accidentally touching the screen or pushing buttons I didnt mean to push when I'm just trying to get a good angle. I saw some people online using these handle things or grips that you screw into the bottom but there are so many options and I have no idea what the difference is between a $20 one and a $150 one.

I saw the official Sony one that has buttons on it which seems cool because then I wouldnt have to reach around to the top of the camera to start recording but its kind of expensive. I think my budget for a grip is around $100 maybe a bit more if it really makes a big difference in how the videos look or how easy it is to carry. I also saw some brands like Ulanzi or SmallRig mentioned in some videos but then people were talking about cages and something called cold shoes and now im just totally lost. Do I need a cage too? I literally just want to be able to hold the camera comfortably while walking around the city and maybe stand it up on a table for some group shots of me and my partner.

Is the official Sony Bluetooth grip actually the best way to go or am I just paying for the brand name? I'm worried about the connection being laggy or it being too heavy to carry in my small daypack all day. If anyone has this camera what are you using to make it easier to hold? I really dont want to drop this thing on the sidewalk the first day we get there because it feels so slippery. Sorry if this is a really basic thing to ask i just dont want to waste money on something that isnt gonna fit or that i dont actually need...

panicking cuz i have a wedding this saturday and need a flash for my rx100 vii like now. torn between the godox tt350s and the sony hvl-f20m.

my logic was godox is more versatile but the sony is way smaller. budget is 150 and i gotta buy today... which one works best?
