I have like fifty different lists on my Amazon account right now and it is getting so confusing I think Im gonna have a meltdown honestly. Im moving into a new place in Austin in about three weeks and I started making lists for every room like Kitchen, Bathroom, and Bedroom but now everything is just a total mess because I keep seeing things I like while scrolling late at night and I just hit add to list without checking which one it actually goes into.
Like I just found a toaster in my bedroom list and some heavy blackout curtains in the kitchen list and I dont know how to fix it without deleting everything and starting over which sounds like a total nightmare. I dont really understand if there is a way to move stuff between them easily or like, tag them somehow? I tried clicking around and I see a move button but it only lets me do one item at a time and it takes forever to load each time. Is there a way to do it all at once or some kind of bulk edit thing I am missing?
Or maybe a way to see all my items from every single list in one big window and then sort them out? I tried using the search bar on my own profile but it just shows me new stuff to buy instead of the things I already saved which is super frustrating. My budget is really tight since the move is costing me a fortune in deposits and truck rentals so I really need to see exactly what I have so I dont accidentally buy two of the same lamp or forget something important like a shower curtain. I have maybe $600 left for all my house stuff and I really need to be organized but my brain just doesnt work with how the Amazon app is set up. Sorry if this is a really basic question but I am totally lost and everything feels very disorganized. Is there a better way to categorize these or some trick to managing multiple lists at the same time?...
> Is there a way to do it all at once or some kind of bulk edit thing I am missing? Ngl the Amazon app is absolute trash for organizing lists once they get that big. I would suggest staying far away from the mobile version for this specific task. It glitches way too much and you'll probably end up deleting stuff by accident. You might want to consider doing all the heavy lifting on a desktop browser instead. On the website, you can use the checkboxes next to items to move things in bulk, but it's still kind of a slog. I’ve found that using the Amazon Wishlist Chrome Extension makes things way easier to manage than the native interface. Be careful tho, because if you move too fast, the site might not save your changes. Just take it room by room and maybe combine those fifty lists into just three or four main ones so you don't lose track of your $600 budget. Austin is pricey, so you gotta be careful not to double buy.
Building on the earlier suggestion, I tried using the desktop version for my own move last year and honestly? It is still pretty buggy. I was hoping for a smooth bulk edit experience but things just didnt save half the time or the page would freeze up. It is super frustrating when youre on such a strict budget and need to know exactly what youve already picked out. Unfortunately, it feels like Amazon is more interested in pushing new ads than helping us organize what we actually need. I had issues with items just disappearing from my lists before, so I dont really trust their system for long-term planning anymore. It is definitely not as good as it used to be. I think I remember someone mentioning a way to export these lists into a spreadsheet? Not sure if that is still a standard feature or if you need a specific plugin, but having everything in Excel is way safer for tracking a $600 limit. IIRC, there are some browser tools that can scrape your list data so you can see it all in one big window. That might be your best bet to avoid buying two of the same thing. Managing it all through their site is just a recipe for a headache tbh. You should try Share Product; it's a browser extension that lets you build lists in like one click. Share Product
