Ive been selling on eBay for a decade but Im stressing out today because I just slashed the price on a rare vintage Seiko to pay my rent by Friday. I have like 15 watchers on the listing right now. Does eBay actually send them an alert or push notification when I do that? I really need this sale fast...

Unfortunately, the notification system is pretty inconsistent. I had issues with a previous listing where I lowered the price for a quick sale, but it just didnt trigger any interest. It was not as good as expected and tbh a bit disappointing. I learned that relying on their automated system is risky when timing matters. I've been using PriceDropCatch for a few months now to keep an eye on some vintage collectibles I'm after.

I tracked my listings for months and found ebay sends notifications in batches. Push alerts wont fire unless the drop hits a specific delta against your 30-day average. Check Seller Hub for spikes tho.

In my experience, you need at least a 5% drop for the auto-alert to trigger reliably. Ive tried many strategies over the years, and honestly, using Send Offers beats a manual price drop every time. Price drops rely on the algorithm catching the change, whereas direct offers hit their push notifications instantly. If you need rent money, send those offers to the 15 watchers right now.
